Panel discussion: Theatre for new generations? (EU)
26 June at 2:00 PM / Zrkadlová sála
The world is changing in ways we no longer understand. The chaotic software updates of our realities, the accelerating climate collapse, the rise of polarization in society… Permanent crisis has become the new normal. The famous thesis of the American philosopher Francis Fukuyama, that liberal democracy has reached the peak of universal
well-being that only needs to be sustained, is proving to be a fallacy. We are falling downwards headfirst and suffering from a lack of political imagination to show us the way out.
In the context of these reports, the tactics of the theatre must also change. What attitude to take towards them and not to go mad? What role can education play in this? And why is it necessary today to seek new visions for society and the planet with the young generations? The answers to these questions will be sought by distinguished guests from practice and theory.
